El pasado sábado 5 de enero, Gallos Blancos debutó en el Clausura 2019 frente a Atlas, partido en el que más allá del resultado, hay una conclusión bastante clara: a Gallos le hacen falta refuerzos en cada una de sus líneas. El encuentro disputado en el Estadio Corregidora finalizó 1-2 en favor de los Rojinegros, en donde los nuevos refuerzos, Daniel Lajud y Aké Loba, tuvieron acción.

A lo largo de los 90 minutos, Querétaro demostró que sigue arrastrando las mismas deficiencias del semestre pasado, sobre todo al atacar en estático. Los comandados por Rafael Puente salieron a la cancha con el esquema habitual, un 4-3-3 (Alcalá; Corral, Pérez, Novaretti, Samudio; Gómez, Güémez, Ruiz; Britos, Sanvezzo, Villalva). En este parado, cuando Keko Villalva ofende, interioriza mucho su juego, en donde traza diagonales a la espalda del mediocentro rival y de los defensas; sin embargo, cuando el argentino ejecuta estos movimientos, Matías Britos —delantero centro nato— debería encargarse de realizar lo contrario; es decir, de ensanchar al rival para abrir espacios. No obstante, Matías no tiene las características de un extremo puro, ya que su mejor versión la encuentra dentro del área, por tanto, no hay quién cubra el juego por los carriles exteriores. Debido a esto, Rafael Puente modificó en la segunda parte para dar ingreso a Aké Loba y Lajud en lugar de Jimmy Gómez y Marcel Ruiz. Para esto, el esquema se modificó a un 4-1-3-2, en donde Javier Güémez fungió como escudo y corrector, Keko Villalva centralizó su juego por detrás de los puntas Sanvezzo y Britos, y Lajud y Loba se dedicaron a generar fútbol por fuera.

Dicho todo esto, en la plantilla queretana existen pocos futbolistas capaces de jugar exclusivamente pegados en el extremo del campo. Esto no es un hecho menor, ya que Gallos Blancos tiene un estilo de juego que se basa en el fútbol posicional; esto exige que tu equipo sea capaz de generar posesiones largas de balón, con el propósito de sofocar al rival dentro de su propio campo. Para esto, es necesario abrir la cancha para tener la mayor cantidad de espacios posibles, por lo que la aparición de extremos y laterales largos se vuelve vital. Actualmente Querétaro cuenta con varios futbolistas que juegan en banda, sin embargo, la mayoría de ellos son volantes o delanteros, no extremos, e interiorizan su juego, no lo exteriorizan. En México, Tigres practica un fútbol con un estilo similar al de Gallos, con la diferencia de que los regiomontanos cuentan con muchísimas más armas y argumentos para llevar a cabo ese sistema de juego. Los de la UANL, justamente alinean a Jürgen Damm con el propósito de ensanchar al rival. Jugar por fuera para generar espacios por adentro. A Rafael Puente le hace falta un jugador de esas características para practicar el fútbol que él busca.

Por otro lado, en el aspecto defensivo, Querétaro también mostró algunas carencias en el partido frente a Atlas. Contrario a lo que Gallos normalmente acostumbra, para este encuentro Rafa Puente decidió alinear en la central a Alexis Pérez en lugar de Luis Romo. El colombiano otorga una salida mucho más limpia desde el fondo, lo cual es una de las razones de su titularidad, ya que para Rafa, construir la base de las jugadas desde el campo propio es muy importante. No obstante, a pesar de la habilidad que Alexis posee para salir con el balón en sus pies, también tiene ciertos problemas a la hora de defender dentro de su propia área. Esa es una de las razones por las que Atlas con muy poco logró anotar en dos ocasiones.

Así mismo, tras la salida de Tiago Volpi hacia tierras amazónicas, Gallos Blancos se quedó sin porteros con experiencia en Liga Mx. Es cierto que Gil Alcalá es un guardameta que promete mucho, sin embargo, la directiva de Club Querétaro debe buscar otro arquero que le haga competencia al mexicano. Igualmente, se sabe que Gil parte con ventaja en una posible carrera por la titularidad del arco queretano. Primero que nada, porque Alcalá ya tiene tiempo trabajando con Rafael Puente y sabe mejor que nadie que el portero titular en Querétaro, además de ser bueno bajo los tres palos, también debe ayudar en la construcción de las jugadas y debe ser una solución a la hora de buscar al compañero mejor posicionado.

De la misma manera, hablando del trabajo en la mediacancha, Querétaro cuenta con tres muy buenos mediocampistas titulares. Javier Güémez colabora tanto en la salida limpia del balón, como también como corrector ante las pérdidas de balón. Jaime Gómez aporta mucho en las transiciones defensa ataque, y su labor para llevar el balón a los atacantes queretanos es fundamental. El joven promesa Marcel Ruiz, a sus escasos 18 años, ya muestra una madurez poco común para los futbolistas de su edad, ya que su capacidad para encontrar últimos pases al espacio es fantástica. No obstante, a pesar de la gran calidad que tienen los mediocampistas titulares de Gallos, el fondo de armario es bastante limitado en caso de que haya necesidad de cambiar a alguno de ellos. Cuando Querétaro busca soluciones en el banquillo, no hay ningún futbolista capaz de aportar algo distinto. Por tanto, Rafael Puente necesita de jugadores que agreguen algo diferente al juego queretano.

Tras las salidas de dos pilares como Hiram Mier y Tiago Volpi, Gallos Blancos ha visto la calidad de su plantilla disminuida. El actual cuadro titular de Querétaro alcanza para competir entre las posiciones 12 y 7, sin embargo, Gallos no aspira a mucho más. La tarea de repetir liguilla se antoja muy complicada, sobre todo si se tiene en cuenta que la directiva queretana no tiene como prioridad reforzar al equipo. Rafael Puente Del Río deberá exprimir al máximo su plantel si quiere hacer algo histórico durante el Clausura 2019.
